BSRE in Zurich: Company Visits
Two of our members had the opportunity to travel to Zurich and take part in company visits at UBS, Blackstone and BNP Paribas. These visits offered insights into the firms' work and perspectives from professionals across the real estate and financial sectors. The trip also provided opportunities to connect with industry professionals and exchange ideas, gaining a broader view of the industry.
BSRE in London: Company Visits
BSRE's London company visit provided an opportunity to meet professionals and learn more about the real estate and financial sectors. The programme included office visits with Morgan Stanley MSREI, Citi, Barclays, KKR and Greystar, where participants gained insight into the firms' work and perspectives on the market. Alongside the discussions, the trip created valuable opportunities to connect with industry professionals and build relationships across the group. It was a focused and engaging learning experience beyond the classroom.
In-Company Visit — Hines
An in-company visit to Hines, the global real estate investment, development and management firm, at their Milan offices. The visit centered on Hines' recent projects and active investments across the Italian market, with a deep dive into their approach to value-add and core-plus strategies, asset management, and sustainability-driven development. Members toured the offices and participated in a working session with Hines' acquisitions and asset management teams, who walked through case studies on recent acquisitions and development projects, illustrating the underwriting process, market positioning, and post-acquisition business plans.
In-Company Visit — Eastdil Secured
An in-company visit to Eastdil Secured, the premier real estate investment bank, at their Milan offices. The visit was structured around Eastdil Secured's recent advisory mandates and capital markets transactions, with the team presenting case studies on large-scale office and logistics deals closed over the past year. Members gained an in-depth understanding of how Eastdil Secured structures capital stack solutions, advises on dispositions and recapitalizations, and sources capital from institutional investors. The session closed with a Q&A on career paths in real estate investment banking and the skills most valued in the industry.
Round Table with Equita — M&A in Real Estate Transactions
An exclusive round table hosted at Bocconi with Equita, one of Italy's leading independent investment banks, focused on M&A dynamics within real estate transactions. The discussion explored the role of advisory in large-scale property deals, valuation methodologies, deal structuring, and the current trends shaping the Italian and European real estate M&A landscape. Members had the opportunity to engage directly with Equita's professionals, gaining first-hand insights into the mechanics of cross-sector real estate transactions.
